WHAT WE BELIEF
The Bible: We believe the entire Bible is fully inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith and all matters of conduct and doctrine.
The Trinity: We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Saviour of the world.
The Saviour: We believe in the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His real and complete humanity, in His sinless life, in His authoritative teaching, in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession and in His second coming to receive His Church.
Water Baptism: We believe water baptism is full immersion in water just as Christ Himself was baptised to fulfil scripture. Notably, as cloth takes on the nature (colour) of dye, in the same way we must take on the nature of Christ when we are baptised.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father, the Son, and the necessity of His work in conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification, and that the believer is also promised an enduement of power as the gift of Christ through the baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs following. Through this enduement, the believer is empowered for further participation in the ministry of the Church, its worship, evangelism and service.
Humankind: We believe in the universal sinfulness of all humankind since the fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
Salvation: We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary in order that we may be reunited (reconciled) with God. He is the mediator between God and man. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.
The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity and priesthood of all believers in Christ and that these comprise the universal Church, the Body of Christ.
The Ministry: We believe in the ministries that Christ has set in His Church, namely apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers and helps, and in the present operation of the manifold Gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the New Testament.
The Commission: We believe that the gospel embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the gospel to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical needs of humankind
The Coming King: We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory.
The Future State: We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgment of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous and the eternal conscious punishment of the wicked.
Communion: We believe in the regular taking of communion as an act of remembrance of what the Lord Jesus did on the cross at Calvary for us. We also believe in the demonstration of God’s supernatural power to the ministration of the token of the communion.
Growing Relationship: We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ by obeying God’s word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.
Divine Healing: We believe in healing through prayers, the laying on of hands and divine intervention through the Holy Spirit.
Freedom in Worship: The Bible admonishes us to come to God with shout, clapping of hands, with dancing and with all manner of instruments. Hence we are not legalistic and formal at worship times but encourage members to fully express in their own way a heartfelt appreciation to God in an orderly manner in reverence.
Resurrection of the Body: The Bible talks about the rapture of all believers, the unavoidable coming of Christ to quicken the dead to life, and those alive shall be caught up with Him in the sky.
